Mc Kats received the Legend Of The Year Accolade For His Support Towards Ugandan Music

Musician Pius Mayanja alias Pallaso has been crowned Artist of the Year and Male Artist of the Year at the 9th Edition of Zzina Awards.

The singer who bagged the same Awards a year ago has enjoyed the start of the new year with a mega countrywide tour.

At an event held at Thobani center, a number of artists including Pallaso, Feffe Bussi, B2C, Aroma, Aziz Azion performed live.

Prim Asiimwe and Hellen Lukoma were the hosts of the night that was highlighted by a Legendary Award for Mc Kats for his contribution to Ugandan music.

Other big winners of the night were Azawi who broke Spice Diana and Sheebah’s 7-year dominance.

  3. Female Artist of the year – Azawi
  4. Song of the year – Weekend – Eddy Kenzo
  5. Breakthrough artist – Liam Voice
  6. Best Song Writer – Azawi
  7. Best Afro Beat Song – Weekend – Eddy Kenzo
  8. Best Contemporary Urban Artist – Liam Voice
  9. Best Contemporary Urban Song – Best Thing – Dre Cali
  10. Best Comedian – Maulana & Reign
  11. Best Fans Team – Fameicans
  12. Best Dancehall Song – Magazine
  13. Best Dancehall Artist – Zex Bilangilangi
  14. Best Lugaflow/Rap Artist – Feffe Buusi
  15. Best Lugaflow/Rap Song – Lock – Fik Fameica
  16. Best Inspirational Song – Majje Fik Fameica ft Azawi

Mc Kats received the Legend of the year Award while Peruth Chemutai received Sports Personality Of The Year
