About 72 students have attended the ceremony at the main campus and the rest are following virtually on the University’s social media sites and UBC TV.
This is the second time UCU is holding virtual graduation, the first being in December 2020.
The students are excited by the fact that UCU has issued transcripts today giving them the opportunity to get employed on time.
Before the ceremony, the University held a service where students are prayed for and committed to the lord. It was led by the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda and Chancellor of Uganda Christian University, His Grace, The Most Rev. Dr Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu.
Over the past year, UCU has invested in equipment, the internet, trained all lecturers and students to embrace online learning because it is the way to go since the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak.
