UCU Guild Cabinet at war over 5m Donation from Brig Gen Felix Busizoori

UCU Guild received a donation of UGX 5M from Brig Gen Felix Busizoori during the UCU Guild Run that was held over the weekend

Uganda Christian University

The Uganda Christian University (UCU) held a guild run over the weekend under the stewardship of UCU Guild President HE. Mirembe Rachael Sserwadda.

The event was graced by Brig Gen. Felix Busizoori the commander of Special Forces Command (SFC) who as well happened to be the chief runner.

Gen. Felix offered the Guild government 5 million Ugandan shillings in cash. He went on and appreciated UCU for being the most disciplined university in Uganda.

“UCU has always been disciplined and I don’t think it has ever had any strike, I will always want you to invite me for more events because you are a much-disciplined university,”

Now what we gather is that the guild cabinet is now divided on how to utilize the fund. Some members of the cabinet demand the money be shared among the needy students of UCU, while a section believes it should be taken back to the coffers of the University.

“The bigger group whats to share the money among the needy students, those who have tuition problems while others demand it can be put on the University’s account.

It should be noted that the Guild Run was started by Guild president Emeritus Kadaga Timothy in 2019 and its main goal was to help in fundraising money for the needy students who have tuition issues.
