StartHub Africa is organizing a National Final Inter-University Pitch Event on Saturday 23rd October 2021. The event is a competition to find out the best student innovator, with teams and individuals pitching to a team of judges in the hopes to win a cash prize of 10 million Uganda Shillings.
The event which will take place starting 10 am to 1 pm will be held online via zoom and teams and individuals are requested to register for the online event. Any student in any University across Uganda is eligible to apply.
Twice per year, StartHub organizes a pitch event to provide a platform to all stakeholders of the entrepreneurship ecosystem to network and exchange ideas regarding entrepreneurship and innovation.
During the event, students who went through our training, showcase their innovations to investors, entrepreneurs, and the general public and compete for award money during a pitch competition.
StartHub Africa as an organization has built viable pathways for African student entrepreneurs to build ventures. According to the organization, for those startups to have an impact, they must be innovative, scalable, and change systems. They support African entrepreneurs to be the changemakers they can be.
StartHub’s vision is to “unlock the potential of changemakers to create innovative and scalable businesses across Africa.”
They support African innovators with all they need: Training, community, access to finance, mentoring, and working with entrepreneurs and changemakers and especially university students.
StartHub sees much potential in supporting them to solve the problems they experience every day. Training, workshops, and Ideathons on campuses across countries groom a variety of projects and startups.
