
Makerere University, through the Office of the Academic Registrar has released the semester schedule for the soon starting semester reopening this November.
The reopening schedule comes shortly after the National Council For Higher Education issued a directive to all the Institutions of Higher Learning to release their respective opening schedules ahead of the proposed phased re-opening.
The Makerere University Academic Registrar, Alfred Masikye Namoah, released the schedule ahead of the University’s opening for physical lectures on 1 November.
According to the schedule, graduate students adn finalists are expected to report to campus between 1st and 13th November.
The Freshers, who are expected to report on 1st November are expected to undergo physical learning for four weeks up to 27th November 2021. After that, their learning is expected to switch to online learning where they shall use the Makerere University online teaching platforms to interact with lecturers from 29th November until 24th December.
For the continuing students, studying will be online between 1st and 27th November and will then switch, with students reporting to campus for physical lectures from 29th November to 24th December 2021.
Sitting of exams will take place between 3rd and 15th January.
