MUST Guild President has assured the students that the administration is already working on their issue.
Last week police was in running battles with students of Mbarara University of Science and Technology. This was after students went on strike over welfare and delayed-release on marks.
On Tuesday 25th March, Mugenyi Justus Kizito the Guild President asked students to remain calm and put halt to the pending strike.
He explained the University administration has already started responding to students’ demands positively and it has started with hiring Sippers Restaurant which will provide food to the students.
He also revealed the administration promised him they will be working on the issue of missing marks and promised it will be rectified before the end of this week.

“As of yesterday, Kihumuro campus was able to get another service provider in the names of sippers restaurant and we hope for better services to the students. Also, students have been encouraged to support the service provider in all forms.
Changed results/grades on students portals, I would like to request students who have been affected to remain calm as those concerned embark on rectifying the error. Have been promised by the responsible offices that all students who were affected will get back their original results as before, and this won’t take more than this week. For now, we may not need to storm these offices as earlier recommended since we expect a general solution” he wrote.
We shall keep you updated on this story as it unfolds from MUST.
