X FM Presenter Likkle Bangi, 23, has graduated alongside the 3000 other students at UCU’s 22nd Graduation
Likkle Bangi is a singer/songwriter and a radio personality at Xfm.
Bangi attended school at Gayaza High School before joining UCU for her Bachelor’s in Mass Communication where she has excelled with flying colors.
Bangi, while speaking about her graduation, revealed she was happy she was graduating with good grades. She says she has graduated with a second-class upper degree.
She believes her milestone is a great inspiration to many young women out there dreaming to turn into something. At 23, Banji is one of the youngest radio personalities in the country, a fit she is not afraid to brag about.
When Melissa isn’t writing, recording, or performing, she is at Xfm hosting her show.
Bangi hosts the afternoon daily lunch request show which runs from 02:00 to 03:00.
Likkle Bangi Biography
Born Bangira Murungi Melissa in 1997 to Wilfred and Christine Bangira.
From a very young age, she accompanied her father to the radio station where he worked and watched him play.
She determined at that point that she would be a presenter when she grew up.
She doesn’t feel like being a radio presenter and being a musician are mutually exclusive, in fact, she feels like they complement each other.
Melissa was the only biological child of Dj Bangi, who was a presenter on Sanyu Fm, Uganda’s oldest radio station.
