
Kyambogo University Guild Council Representatives (two) have been sacked by the Univerisity’s Guild President, Mbaziira John.
In letters signed by the Guild President, Kyambogo University the terms of office of Nkurunziza Alphonse, GRC Faculty of Engineering, and Kamya Carlos, GRC School of Management and Entrepreneurship were terminated following alleged misconduct and misuse of office.
“After several times of calling you to order for your misconduct and disruption of the proceedings of the meetings of the guild cabinet, you didn’t improve. As a result, you have continuously breached the executive collective responsibility as mandated by article 8 clause 7 (a) and (b) that you committed to following during your appointment,” the letter reads in part.
“Considering such misconduct and grave indiscipline, I write to you to officially terminate your services as the 17th Guild Deputy General Secretary and as well as dismiss you from the 17th Guild Executive as mandated by article 10 clause 2 (a) and article 8 clause 8 (h) respectively.”
Kamya was also serving on the Guild Executive as the Minister for Ethics and Integrity.
“This letter is, therefore, to formally announce the termination of your services as Guild Minister for Ethics and integrity and as well as dismiss you from the 17th Guild Executive as mandated by article 10 clause 2 (a) and article 8 clause 8 (h) respectively.”
The termination of both parties took effect on Tuesday 28 September 2021.
