Kyambogo and Lira Universities have released their official lists for the students admitted on Government sponsorship for the various degree programs at the respective institutions of higher learning.
The lists were released under the respective offices of the Academic Registrars with Kyambogo University alone admitting over 300 students on National Merit.
On the other hand, Lira University admitted fewer students with about 100 successful students.

About Kyambogo University
Kyambogo University is one of the largest public Universities in Uganda with well-established academic programs and facilities, and over 100 affiliate institutions all over Uganda. Our programs range from Vocational Studies, Sciences, Social Sciences, Education, Business, and Engineering.
About Lira University
The university first opened in August 2012 with 100 students. At that time, the institution was a constituent college of Gulu University and was known as Gulu University Constituent College Lira. It was also referred to as Lira University College.
In June 2015, the Uganda Ministry of Education elevated the college to university status, effective with the 2016-17 academic year that began in August 2016.
