With just three days to the relapse of her “African Music” album, Azawi, real names, Priscilla Zawedde, has finally revealed what is the official tracklist.
The 16 song album will feature a variety of Ugandan artists including Eddy Kenzo, A Pass, Fik Fameika, and Benon Mugumbya.
The much-anticipated album has already seen 2 hits singles “My Year” and “Slow Dancing” topping music charts and playlists.
This album is a follow-up to her Lo Fit EP that was released in February last year.
Here’s the official tracklist of the “African Music” album set for release on October 9.
Azawi biography
Azawi is a multi-talented singer-songwriter. She was inspired to do music and dance years ago after frequently visiting the Ndere Cultural Centre to watch the dance festivals. During her journey as a songwriter, Azawi was discovered by Swangz Avenue and this has put her on a path to stardom.
While still young, Azawi used to visit the Ndere Cultural Centre which is found in Ntinda frequently and it was there that she developed an interest in music and dance when she was watching the dance festivals.
In the year 2005, Azawi joined the Kika dance troupe where she performed with them on different occasions. She later left the Kika dance troupe but her love for music did not die and instead it became stronger than ever.
